Anchor Alert is an electronic anchor monitoring system for motor cruisers and sail boats alike. It uses a state of the art accelerometer, like those used to trigger air bags.
The unit, located in a capsule between the anchor and anchor chain, transmits anchor movement data to the boat via an ultrasonic wireless system. The alarm is displayed and sounds only when the anchor actually moves.
